• Why can't my images in HTML files that were generated by Microsoft Word be showed?

There is a well-known problem with Word-generated HTML files: when compiled into a .chm file, the images fail to appear.
Running the files through the Office 2000 HTML Filter usually fixes this problem. You may find the Office 2000 HTML Filter from http://office.microsoft.com/Downloads/2000/Msohtmf2.aspx and download it for free.

• Why can I not Full-text search?

CHM file Full-text search supports only Html files.

• Problems about 'Hide toolbar text'

Because of Microsoft HH 1.x's bug, if you hide the toolbar text, you will not be able to show the toolbar text in the CHM file when you clear this setting next time, except you restart your computer or save your project file with a new name or rename the CHM file!

• Why do I get an error compiler message which states "HHC6003: The file itircl.dll has not been registered correctly"?

The reason is that the file itcc.dll is not on your system or it has not been registered correctly.

Ok, on to the fix:

Look for itcc.dll on your system. If it's there, register it using:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system\itcc.dll

Make sure you substitute the correct path for the location of itcc.dll on your system.
